Senior Auto Adjuster

Job Summary:

USAA is seeking to handle non-injury auto claims. This role involves investigating coverage and liability, evaluating damages, and negotiating settlements for complex claims, including theft, fire, collision, and property damage liability. The position requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to provide exceptional service to members.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate and assess auto claims, determining coverage and liability.
• Evaluate and negotiate settlements for complex cases, including total losses and coverage disputes.
• Analyze policy details, prior claims history, and state regulations.
• Coordinate with external and internal stakeholders to resolve claims efficiently.
• Handle negotiations related to comparative negligence and excessive storage charges.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
• Document investigation findings, damage evaluations, and settlement decisions.
• Support workload surges and catastrophe (CAT) response as needed, including potential travel.

Qualifications and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
• At least 1 year of experience handling auto liability claims.
• Proficiency in insurance policies, claim handling, and state regulations.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an insurance adjuster license within 90 days.

Salary:

• Pay range: $54,550 - $92,060 (varies by location and experience).
• Performance-based incentives may be available.
