Letter Carrier Delivery Agent

Job Summary:

Responsible for delivering mail and packages to customers, ensuring timely and secure distribution. This role involves sorting and preparing mail, operating a company vehicle, and walking designated routes in various weather conditions. A commitment to customer service and safety is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Sort and prepare mail and packages for delivery.
• Load and operate a company vehicle to transport mail.
• Deliver mail and packages by foot or vehicle along designated routes.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed efficiently and securely.
• Return undelivered mail and packages to the depot for processing.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s license with a clean record for at least three years.
• Ability to lift and carry mail items up to 50 lbs (22.7 kg) regularly.
• Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
• Availability for on-call work as required.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English and/or French.
• Customer service experience is an asset.
• Previous experience in delivery or driving roles is beneficial.
