Route Delivery Drivers

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of fresh food products to designated locations. The position involves verifying orders, maintaining delivery schedules, and providing excellent customer service. The individual will also be responsible for handling product loading, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and adhering to safety and compliance regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver fresh food products, including sandwiches, milk, bread, and bakery items, to assigned locations.
• Verify and load products into the delivery vehicle, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
• Follow GPS navigation and written directions to efficiently reach destinations.
• Utilize an electronic tablet to record product quantities and complete daily store check-ins.
• Collect empty trays from stores and ensure organized product handling.
• Adhere to safety standards by setting appropriate truck temperatures and conducting vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any maintenance issues to supervisors.
• Work in warehouse conditions with temperatures ranging from 38°F to 70°F.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers and store personnel.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, completing logs and necessary paperwork accurately.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of three years of experience in delivery driving, preferably with box trucks.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and push/pull up to 300 pounds using a dolly.
• Proficiency in using electronic devices for logging deliveries and completing reports.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing conditions.
• Must pass a DOT physical, drug screening, background check, and physical assessment.
