Lead Vehicle Management System Hardware Engineer

Job Summary:

Join a team dedicated to innovation and collaboration in aerospace technology. This role involves leading the development of next-generation flight control equipment, ensuring technical excellence in Vehicle Management Systems (VMS) design, integration, and certification.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical direction for the VMS Integrated Product Team, including hardware, software, and lab teams.
• Support the development, integration, and testing of VMS hardware and software.
• Ensure that system architecture, hardware, and software meet program requirements.
• Coordinate VMS design, architecture, and interfaces with other teams.
• Develop and oversee integrated test plans to meet certification requirements.
• Support supplier development, testing, and integration efforts.
• Manage the overall VMS certification process with internal teams and certification authorities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
• 9+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, 7+ years with a master’s, or 4+ years with a PhD.
• Experience with Vehicle Management Systems (VMS) or PID control design.
• Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
• 14+ years of experience in avionics, electrical, or mission systems roles.
• Experience in qualification testing and production program support.
• Familiarity with test equipment development.

Salary:

• $119,850 - $194,350
