Automation Technician

Job Summary

This role plays a crucial role in troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing robotic and control systems to ensure efficient manufacturing operations. This position requires expertise in electrical and automation systems, with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support robotic troubleshooting and changeovers.
• Troubleshoot 24V control systems.
• Perform PLC troubleshooting, instrumentation calibrations, and VFD troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain operator and management graphic displays for production data.
• Ensure proper documentation of PLC control systems, electrical drawings, and SAP records.
• Collaborate with production, scheduling, and purchasing teams on project-related tasks.
• Assist automation engineering with control system projects.
• Attend technical training to stay updated on innovative products and processes.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
• Perform additional plant support duties as directed.

Qualifications and Experience

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of three years of experience in electrical system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts with physical demands such as standing, bending, and lifting.
• Flexibility to adjust shifts based on operational needs.
• Successful completion of a standardized maintenance competency assessment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or a related field.
• Experience with Fanuc robots and Allen Bradley PLCs.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

Salary

Starting at $30.00 per hour, plus an additional $1.50 per hour shift differential.
