Azure Technical Lead

Job Summary:

This role involves mentoring and leading cloud engineers while contributing to the design, implementation, and management of scalable Azure-based cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will drive process improvements, enhance IT security controls, and explore new technologies to optimize efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Guide, mentor, and manage a team of cloud engineers to foster a high-performance work environment.
• Conduct architecture and design reviews, code reviews, and training sessions.
• Design and manage scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure and automation tooling.
• Oversee the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Azure resources.
• Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of the Azure environment through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Manage cloud costs and optimize resource usage.
• Collaborate with solution architects to ensure developed solutions align with security controls and best practices.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and adoption of new technologies.
• Stay updated with the latest Azure features and best practices.
• Investigate and monitor current cloud usage, identify risks, and recommend solutions.
• Ensure cloud services and tools adhere to best practices and documentation requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and cross-platform technology.
• 5+ years of experience in building, deploying, and managing public cloud IaaS and PaaS services.
• Expertise in building automated cloud infrastructure for production and non-production environments.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation of builds, workflows, and integration tasks.
• Experience with Linux and Microsoft Windows server administration.
• Hands-on experience with configuration management and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, and Chef.
