Department Manager

Job Summary

This role focuses on managing a department to optimize sales, inventory, and store standards. The position involves leading a team, analyzing market trends, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage department operations, maximizing sales and maintaining stock accuracy.
• Monitor local market trends and adjust strategies to maintain a competitive advantage.
• Oversee product movement, planograms, and merchandising to align with customer demand.
• Analyze sales data to improve department performance and achieve business objectives.
• Recruit, train, coach, and motivate a team of Sales Associates and Team Leaders.
• Ensure adherence to store policies, operational procedures, and customer service standards.
• Perform key holder responsibilities, including securing stock, cash, and responding to emergency call-outs.
• Support store management in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of retail leadership experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to analyze market trends and improve sales performance.
• Excellent leadership skills with experience in motivating and developing high-performing teams.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both customers and team members.
• Experience handling security, stock protection, and emergency response as a key holder.
• Proven ability to resolve challenges efficiently and apply strong problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English for verbal and written communication, including customer interactions.

Salary

The pay range for this role is $58,700 - $69,000. The base pay offered will consider internal equity, geographic location, job-related experience, and skills.
