Job Summary:
We are building a dynamic team of Internal Wholesalers to drive the sales of MassMutual’s Annuity Distribution to third-party distributors. In this role, you will build and grow relationships within a dedicated territory across banks, credit unions, wirehouses, national/regional broker-dealers, and independent broker-dealers. You will be responsible for territory production, penetration rates, and product diversity in partnership with an External Wholesaler, with a strong focus on financial wellness and education.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively contact and consult with financial professionals on annuity product support and inquiries.
- Execute territory management strategies to maximize opportunities and grow sales.
- Work closely with an External Wholesaler to drive sales using tools like Salesforce, Outlook, PowerPoint, and financial planning software.
- Develop expertise in annuity products, positioning, sales concepts, and industry trends.
- Build and maintain strong business relationships with key distributors.
- Travel with an external partner to understand territory specifics and relationship building.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- FINRA Series 6 or 7 license at time of application.
- State Securities License Series 63 at time of application.
- State Life & Health Insurance License at time of application.
- Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of experience in a financial institution or financial services.
- 3+ years of sales or sales support experience with annuity products.
- 2+ years of experience with annuity solutions in financial services institutions.
- 2+ years of experience with a contact management system.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in a financial institution or financial services.
- 4+ years of sales or sales support experience with annuity products.
- Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
- Experience delivering presentations to groups in virtual settings.
- Proficiency in self-management, including territory and time management.
- Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, and Salesforce.
- Extensive knowledge of annuity products, trends, and industry practices.
- Experience working with banks, credit unions, and broker-dealers.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
Salary:
- $70,000 – $85,000 base salary range.
- Sales-based incentive opportunity, with total target compensation of $100,000 – $125,000.
