Job Summary:

American Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled and experienced Travel Electrophysiology (EP) Technician to join our team. This role involves working in top healthcare facilities across the country, assisting with complex cardiac electrophysiology procedures. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cardiac rhythm management, catheter ablation, and device implantation procedures while providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians during electrophysiology studies, ablations, and pacemaker/ICD implants.
• Operate and maintain EP lab equipment, including recording systems and mapping technologies.
• Monitor patient vital signs and electrocardiograms (ECGs) during procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and positioning them appropriately.
• Ensure sterile techniques and infection control protocols are followed in the EP lab.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document procedural details and maintain accurate patient records.
• Travel to assigned healthcare facilities, adapting to different work environments and teams.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Biomedical Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in an EP lab setting. Travel experience is a plus.

Certifications:

• Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of EP lab procedures, cardiac anatomy, and physiology.
• Proficiency in operating EP mapping and recording systems (e.g., Carto, Ensite, EP Med).
• Ability to work in high-pressure situations with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
