AGS Training Services Technical New Product Instructor

Job Summary

Applied Materials is seeking to develop and deliver training programs for advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This role requires in-depth technical knowledge, strong communication skills, and a commitment to excellence in instructional delivery and content development. The ideal candidate will support both internal teams and external customers while working independently in a fast-paced, global environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver technical training courses focused on theory and hands-on skills for semiconductor equipment.
• Conduct classroom and lab instruction at internal sites and customer locations, including domestic and international travel.
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and complete certifications across multiple platforms and processes.
• Support course development and documentation using Instructional System Design (ISD) standards.
• Create, evaluate, and enhance training materials and technical documentation.
• Provide system-level troubleshooting and ensure training equipment meets safety and functionality standards.
• Mentor junior instructors in course delivery and technical development.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to review Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and assist in Alpha Site support.
• Collaborate with business units to ensure course content is current and aligned with product updates.
• Participate in new product build, test, and technical documentation creation.
• Support customer relationship development and assist in identifying training needs and opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4 to 7 years of experience in technical training, semiconductor equipment, or related field.
• Strong conceptual and practical knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing systems.
• Experience managing multiple projects with diverse scope and technical complexity.
• Ability to work independently and guide less experienced team members.
• Proficiency in technical writing and content development methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to evaluate complex situations using multiple data sources.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deliver complex content clearly.

Salary

• U.S. Salary Range: $80,000 – $110,000 annually.
• Eligible for bonus and stock award programs, as applicable.
• For sales roles, posted salary range represents Target Total Cash (TTC), including base salary and target bonus at 100% goal achievement.
